Q:  How much does it cost to build a 1,800 sq ft house?  Can you give a “cost per square foot” estimate?

A:  This is almost impossible to estimate without knowing what materials and features are going into the house.  You could have ten 1,800 sq ft houses and all of them come at a different cost.  Is it one floor or two?  Do you want hardwood or vinyl flooring?  Ten windows or 17 windows?  Two-car garage or three?  What level of energy efficiency do you want in windows, mechanicals, insulation?  Every single item in a house determines the total cost.  At Hammer Builders we work with your budget and your “dreams” and end up with the best home for you.

The homes we have built range from approximately $112 to $144 per square foot (not including cost of lot).  A very nice 1,500 sq ft, energy efficient home with above average features, a 2-car garage, and municipal water and sewer might range from $112 to $115 per square foot (give or take a few dollars depending on features you select).  These prices DO NOT include the cost of the lot or cost of well/septic system.  Please call for more information.
