Hammer Builders is owned and operated by Cindy Hammer and is located in Evansville, Wisconsin.  We promote sensible Green Building practices and participate in the Wisconsin ENERGY STAR® Homes Program.  We pay special attention to the details that make your new home better, safer and more comfortable, durable and energy-efficient. We build homes within about a 40 mile radius of Evansville (including, but not limited to Evansville, Madison, Janesville, Edgerton, Stoughton, and Brodhead).

 At Hammer Builders we believe that quality construction consists of more than just good materials and good workmanship. You need to do the right things with the good materials and workmanship. We build in a systematic way, so that all the parts of the home work together and promote good performance, durability, comfort, and health and safety. We do all of this in an environmentally responsible manner.

The design/planning stage is where Hammer Builders helps you make important decisions on incorporating functional design and energy-saving practices into your new home.   Our specialty is making living space functional and limiting wasted space and materials.  While at the same time, creating a high quality, beautiful home.  It is so important to work with a knowledgeable builder during the planning phase so you know all of your options and the impact of your choices before you start pricing. Based on your dreams and your budget, we help you choose the design, materials and features that are right for you.

 During the building process, we work with you every step of the way.  Our approach to professional construction management is very organized and involves a lot of communication.  We are constantly talking to the Client, Subcontractors, and Suppliers throughout the entire process.  We put extra time and effort into facilitating the process so it is less stressful for you.  Our goal is to make every Client's home-building experience pleasant, and for you to be happy with your home for years to come.

Our mission is to use the best practices and materials available to make your home the best it can be within your budget.  We are always educating ourselves on new technology, functional design and building practices.  We pass this knowledge on to our Client so you can make educated decisions on design and what to include in your home.  There are different levels of Green Building you can incorporate into your home, and we will help you decide which options are practical and right for you.  All of our homes are Energy Star Certified.

 We build only 3 or 4 houses per year so each customer gets the attention and service they deserve.  From first-time buyers to those that are on their third custom home, every Client gets the thought and attention they deserve.  We want you to be comfortable with the process and never feel intimidated.  Customer Service is always foremost in our mind.

 You can trust the quality of our workmanship. We build every house as if it is our own. Subcontractors are chosen very carefully and only those that have this same attitude are involved in our projects.  Our knowledge of the different options available during the design/planning stage and the quality project management during the process are the two things that our Clients appreciate the most .  There are other builders out there that may use quality materials and provide good workmanship, but it is hard to find a builder that provides the high level of customer service that we do (we have many references available).

 We provide very fair and straight-forward pricing.  Our bids are well thought-out during the design/planning stage.  Bids are based on what you actually want in your home, rather than providing a bid with minimal features and later adding on thousands of dollars worth of add-ons.  We provide credit back to the Client when any cost of an allowance item is under the contract allowance.

 A one-year builder warranty is included, in addition to the excellent manufacturer warranties that come with the components we put in your home.  We stand behind those warranties and provide timely, courteous service in the rare event that a warranty issue arises.
